What a wonderful afternoon at our Burns Supper! Each and every one of our class tried their hardest and put on an energetic, engaging and enthusiastic performance! I was a very proud teacher! Thank you to all our families for coming along!
Today in P7A we learned about the importance of Remembrance, and the significance of poetry about war. We used what we had learned to create this beautifully decorated black out style poetry.
Today in drama we imagined we were evacuees and discussed the emotions they might have felt. We used a “conscience alley” to share our character’s thoughts and feelings about leaving our life behind, and being chosen by a new family. @lauriestonp7b.bsky.social
Today we celebrated our work on creating our beach themed library with an ice lolly treat!
In drama this week, we developed our knowledge and understanding of The Blitz. P7A and @lauriestonp7b.bsky.social worked in groups to create mimed scenes focussing on three specific times… before an air raid, during the bombing, and emerging from the shelter.
We loved watching the judo demonstration today by former Olympic and Commonwealth games athletes! Some of us even joined in with the demonstration!
In our class novel, Kofi runs a race at his school stadium. For outdoor learning we designed and created our own stadiums using loose parts and natural materials.
This week one of our morning starters was a puzzle about crossing a river. We brought it to life in PE and had to work as a team to find a solution.
P7A enjoying some talking and listening games. In order to be successful we have to focus, concentrate and work as a team
P7A enjoyed a STEM challenge this afternoon, creating a variety of different styles and designs for paper aeroplanes! We then tried them out to see which ones went the furthest!
We enjoyed our French drama celebration this afternoon! We watched performances from Comely Park, Easter Carmuirs and @lauriestonp3.bsky.social , and shared our own video of our Camille va au marche story. What a wonderful celebration of languages from across Falkirk!

At outdoor learning we worked with a partner or a group to design a house for the three little pigs
Our thematic maths topic this term is sports day! We tried out lots of different activities and used tally marks to count how many points we collected!
What a wonderful day we had at Five Sisters Zoo on Friday! We loved our workshop and planning a meal for the bears. And then we had a brilliant time in the park in the sun ☀️
