Jurassic Millennial The Keeper of Records

I honestly do not know how to even more strongly emphasize to my child that he needs to keep his fucking hands out of his fucking mouth, especially at camp 😑 I told him BEFORE drop off today and yesterday, and yet I get a report from the teacher that she had to repeatedly tell him. I am livid.

Need to talk with someone who knows USA Spending Dot Gov and/or federal contracts well. Totally off the record — just looking for background info. DM me here or reach out on Signal: jeaton.04 Thanks!!!

It's Textile Tuesday, and you know what that means: a piece by artist Faig Ahmed called "The Dragons of Karabakh" that's woven to look like an antique Central Asian carpet is melting off the wall into a puddle. More about the artist here: faigahmed.com

A red, blue, yellow and white work of textile art by Faig Ahmed that appears to be a traditional Central Asian carpet but is woven to look as through it's melting onto the floor in a puddle. Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

“Your package is ready for shipping with [company]. They may call or text to confirm delivery information.” NO, do not call me or text me or anything. and i don’t need to know this level of information. It’s none of my business, in such a literal way: this is a contract between retailer and whoever

I would argue that ai art doesn't have any of the soul or drive that even the shittiest of stick figures has. It can look technically impressive but the part of art that captivates people beyond just going "okay" and moving on is the human behind it making it.

The “best” thing about genAI (the quotes are doing heavy work here) is that it’s really lowered the bar on getting into hand-made art. Literally anything you make is better than ai. There’s never been a better time to throw away your fear and start learning that craft you’ve always wanted to learn.

Hi @spindlypete.bsky.social , I found this website while looking for like sound-drill reading books for Smöl Boy (e.g., lots of “g” sounds so he can practice/learn hard vs soft word spellings). Seems extremely your scene for your lads 💙💙 www.soundcityreading.net/pdf-files.html

I've always had good password security. In college I had my debit card number memorized for making 2002-era online purchases. I have used a very secure password manager for over a decade. My reward? A life of retrieving six-digit codes from my email and phone. Every day I suffer

Ok Publix store brands are now fully unreliable? Why is the sour cream suddenly “1-2/3 Tbsps (29g)” for a serving when everyone else is “2 Tbsp (30g)”? And the Publix fat content is higher per serving too. Something is wrong here, but idk how to articulate it???

Life lately: -Call DMV w/question, can't get past AI -Use appliance at home, battery dead -Make a purchase on my phone, need to send a "review submission" to Apple for a 72 hour review -Try to get into locked social media account "Stop bothering us/contact us in 7 days" Living in Enshittification🤬

A sociologist who specializes in race, ethnicity, immigration is teaching my book this Fall to her class on citizenship. Thank you for your course adoptions! If the scheduling works out, I'm happy to visit your class by Zoom.

Maybe Bluesky can help me (famous last words). I am trying to remember a children's book that is a spin on the frog prince. In this one, the damsel refuses the frog, who turns into a prince and is then immediately kidnapped by trolls. So the damsel becomes the heroine and sets out to find him.

Brb using wood glue to hold up my roll-out trays that connect to the outside panels of my cabinets bc I don’t want to risk the screws poking thru. Likely will also add some vertical reinforcements, even if just some basic dowels. TRUST NO ONE.

Adonis has very funny mannerisms, because he grew up wild on the streets. he's less of a pet and more of a roommate who is also retired special forces. he mostly just hangs out until he decides it's time for combat drills and/or someone else's turn as lookout
