Designed this little spider hat for Halloween! Posting pattern on Ravelry tomorrow :)
whatever you think of the country as a whole there are still a whole lot of great people here who deserve better than this
I designed a horseshoe crab sweater and published it on Ravelry on National horseshoe crab day! If you ever thought to yourself “man, I really want a hand knit sweater with horseshoe crabs on it” boy do I have great news for ya www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...
Found some horseshoe crabs while wearing my horseshoe crab sweater (and flipped them right side up)!
Back to book pitching, so here I am caring about the # of followers I have 🤦♀️ HELLO! I'm a 🦑 scientist on a mission to get people to take action to protect earth's biodiversity. Alongside others, I use street art, zines, photography, collabs, & more to encourage action. Tell ur friends 😅
One of my semester projects…nearly done and then it’ll get a less obscured photoshoot
Recently completed leafhopper sweater (designed by @leafhopper.bsky.social) modeled by @ibycter.bsky.social with help from Diego and Zora in scenic Quidi Vidi Village! #EntoFashion #Knitting

Locked in yesterday and finished the painting part of my leafhopper comic. Next…to outline these all in ink, and then add lots of text in illustrator! I managed to ruin my big guy on the left with wet hair but luckily I’d already scanned him in!
The ittiest bittiest babyest leafhopper ever watercolored I think
@entsocamerica.bsky.social using AI generated images in its award presentations at the Eastern Branch is really, really embarrassing, especially for a society that focuses on scicomm and science illustration through conference workshops. Really making me reconsider renewing my membership this year.
I would never use AI to create art because I hold myself to this really high standard of not doing things that Elon Musk would approve of and taking a cowardly shortcut to a meaningless end, yet still expecting people to be impressed…yeah. sounds like something Elon Musk would be all about.
Welcome to the singular best thing I’ve ever painted and also why do I stop painting for months at a time??
Love my departments, marched against monarchy with a bunch of EEB and EIS GRAD students and @joannamasel.bsky.social
one of these shirts is for a faculty member of my department! get out there!!!! fight for your science! and for my science please I would like very much for there to be science when I finish my doctorate

When will we see a massive stop-work strike by federal employees? Air traffic, trains, electricity, law enforcement, military, embassies, and all. Make people realize that federal government provides essential services.
