This is the key takeaway: Haley Stevens got everything she could have asked for. AIPAC spent the most it ever has. The party pulled out all the stops. Millions were even spent to spread the false idea that the most popular president in modern US history endorsed her. And it still wasn’t enough.

Because if one campaign can show that *that* much money and *that* much old guard support doesn’t guarantee victory, it cracks open what can be imagined. It widens the aperture of what’s possible.

Burmese deportees in 2025 were immediately sent to a torture facility next to the airport, according to Myanmar Now. Weeks later, not all of them had emerged.

Not to count our chickens before they hatch Haley Stevens lost the primary the second she pulled that “ISRAEL COMES TO ME IN MY DREAMS” bullshit. 😭 Putting aside the ethical implications of that statement, it exemplified how she embodies everything people are tired of with establishment democrats.
It’s ultimately a drop in a bucket, but I do occasionally think about how much healthier the conversation around Israel-Palestine could have been these past few years if Andy Levin was still in office, instead of kicked out by Haley Stevens and $4.5m AIPAC dollars.
