We are watching a billion dollar industry prop up a carcass as it trudges forward, leaving a trail of bad Gfx and AI slop in its wake. It’d be sad if it wasn’t so ugly.
I actually think it’s the industry trying to create semi-earned moments like the Civil War airport battle or “On your left” by forcing insane spectacle and “big” (and profitable!) moments. Iron Man was one part of the machine; pursuing monoculture and shared commercial language is the real culprit

In the Infinity War trailer, you had Thanos, who had been looming large for years, explain his motivations, his point of view. We had seen the world in which he was created. In Doomsday, you hear second hand how scared Thor is, but unless you saw Fan4, you have no idea who Dr. Doom is.
