Recognizing that there are a lot of unknowns at play here, I'd be way more comfortable it's being handled competently if the infection control community would acknowledge that the UK COVID Inquiry found their core beliefs about aerosol transmission to be a "widespread failure"... 🧵:

Please boost—this is terrifying. For those who don’t know, Sarah lost her daughter to very severe ME after the disease was disbelieved/mistreated by doctors. Isla died in similar circumstances & now her mom has been unjustly arrested & her sister who also has ME has been taken & is in serious danger

One of the worst mistakes of the pandemic was proclaiming covid doesn't affect kids. This has proven false in so many ways, even *before* acknowledging the risk of repeat infections (which kids presumably have more time to get). Even as a leading cause of death, c19 ranks higher in kids than adults.

Oh, FFS. Tracy Hoeg?!?!? Why is anyone listening to her about vaccines? Or anything else for that matter? She made arguments directly to me re: Covid transmission in schools that wouldn’t have passed at a middle school science fair.😩
