From the fake electors of Jan 6, to the laughably unprofessional “audit” by the CyberNinjas, to the current fraudulent Green Party candidates, the Arizona GOP gives us many demonstrations of attempted election fraud!

I do a volunteer shift here once a week or so. Sorry to have missed you! It’s great to see a candidate and campaign doing some community work.
Our first day of the general election was spent giving back alongside the Flagstaff Family Food Center. Campaigns are about serving people, not just asking for their vote. Let’s keep showing up for our communities any way that we can!
In his own district, Eli Crane is allowing rural hospitals to be crippled while over 50,000 of his constituents lose healthcare. And somehow he still found time to help hide the Epstein files. For the good of Arizona, Eli Crane cannot remain in Congress.
I have helped several friends and family members submit comments - some retired scientists and university people, but also some “regular” people who appreciate public health, cancer research, emergency response, and so much more.
Submitted my comment to OMB, after editing it to fit in the length limit. :/ Also sent it to my senators and contacted my representative. I don’t want to look back and say I didn’t go down swinging.
I would like just one aspect of our culture and our lives that this motherfucker doesn’t have to get his greasy, corrupt hands on. Just something somewhere that can be enjoyable and unsullied.
🚨 Exclusive: The White House made a direct call to FIFA to ask Gianni Infantino to review Folarin Balogun’s red card. FIFA approached for comment and referred to the findings of its independent committee.

A happy and courageous 4th of July to all who believe in the great potential of the U.S. as a voice for liberty, justice, and respect for Earth.
Wow…so happy (not) to hear the thoughtful, mature way the mayor of Williams is assessing risk. The heavy smoke we are currently dealing with is a clear reminder for most of us in the region. #FlagstaffLife
I spent all week covering the #PocketFire as it grew 20k acres, toward Flagstaff. Then the Mayor of nearby Williams told me: “(Flagstaff) likes to think they should be able to tell everybody to do the same thing they do. And I've let them know that's not the case." www.azcentral.com/story/news/l...
The low temperature of 84F at New York City Central Park ties the all time record warmest low temperature (1869-present). The low of 87F at Newark is a new all-time warmest low temperature (1843-present). It's as if something has changed. 🤔
I try to stay respectful of others’ differing worldviews and starting points. But honestly - how can ANYONE justify this degree of harming their followers ( and the rest of us)??
I'll summarize this: Mamdani asked NYers to keep air conditioning at 78 degrees. A wave criticism hit online. A MSNBC broadcast pointed out the US Department of Energy recommends that 78 degree figure. Immediately after, the US Department of Energy deleted 6,000 web pages related to energy saving.
Finally - first bumblebee I have seen this year, foraging on my native Monarda (bee balm). Looked more like nevadensis than the Morrison’s we’ve seen in prior years. Did not wait for me to get a photo for iNaturalist…
That feeling when the familiar Watch Duty notification dings and you glance at it and it’s a new fire about 1/2 mile from your house. 🔥😫
Well, the planned power outage for this weekend (due to high winds, extremely low humidity, and dry forest fuels) has now begun. Basement freezer is on backup battery (with solar panels for recharging), solar lanterns are charged for use indoors tonight, and - most exciting - (1/2)
A coalition of 15 local Indivisible chapters across AZ CD2 has officially endorsed former Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez for U.S. House. The coalition, which spans rural and tribal communities across northern and eastern Arizona, provides critical grassroots support to unseat Eli Crane.
My name is Jonathan Nez. I’m the former President of the Navajo Nation. Today, I am running for Congress to defeat MAGA Republican Eli Crane, flip Arizona’s 2nd blue, and take back the house. Let’s win this.
Oh, I wish I could count on this happening!!
Mike Johnson: "If we were to lose the midterms, heaven forbid, these Democrats…will turn every committee of Congress into an investigative body and they will go after the president's family…Half of you in this room will be targeted. I run the protection program. I'll take care of you."
Flying home to #ABQ, it’s both scary and heartbreaking to see the Rio Grande completely dry. What will become of us here in the desert?…

Growing up in the American midwest, the Arctic was both the home of exciting wildlife (polar bears! walrus! Arctic fox!) and a symbol of (seemingly) untouched wilderness. This change in climate is inexpressibly sad - and also enraging. We must fight for our neighbors on this planet!
The complete loss of cold years in the Arctic since the 1980s is astounding. The last "blue" stripe was 1992, following the Pinatubo Volcano eruption in the summer of 1991. #ShowYourStripes #Climate #Arctic
I was feeling a bit complacent after some good rainfall this past week, but now the Pocket Fire south of town reminds us that it’s fire season. Evacuation orders for Oak Creek Canyon, from north Sedona to south of Flagstaff. #FlagstaffLife
Hurrah for the testing, and hurrah for the outcome!
✅ We successfully completed and passed the Logic & Accuracy Test for the July 21, 2026 Primary Election! A special thank you to @AZSecretary for certifying our equipment and supporting election integrity across the state. 📅 Don't forget— voter registration deadline is June 22
Oh for the love of god, she even lied on her bio to show she was qualified to be the ambassador to Jamaica (which of course she's not). www.azfamily.com/2026/06/11/p...

Just registered for this...collecting info and suggestions for ways of protesting and stopping the massacre of US science.
What does the new OMB proposal mean for science? How can we STOP VOUGHT and SAVE SCIENCE together? All of these questions and more to be discussed at the Emergency Science Meeting on June 2nd, 4PM ET, hosted by Stand Up for Science! Register at the link in our bio, or go here: zurl.co/g3vTZ
Finished reading Goliath's Curse by @lukekemp.bsky.social about a month ago - has really stuck with me. Final chapter is great reminder of sticking to the basics of 4 actions we all can and should take: don't be a dick (pledge not to personally work for agents of doom); (1/2)
It’s telling how many of the large news organizations who are flush with money aren’t sending journalists to cover ICE (and now state trooper) violence overnight outside Delaney Hall and the independent outlets with far less financial and insurance coverage are braving it.
A great summary. Will be very helpful for people like me residing in communities where there continues to be skepticism about the feasibility, affordability, or true benefits of transitioning NOW to clean renewable energy! open.substack.com/pub/leahy/p/...

At this point I don't see how I could in good conscience advise any graduate student or academic researcher with other options to take up a position in the United States.
