The fact that Trump’s “Justice” Department met with Epstein’s accomplice for two days, but never met with a single survivor of Epstein and Maxwell’s crimes, tells us everything we need to know. #ReleaseTheEpsteinFiles
Voting is how we support our values. It’s how we shape what comes next, together, not from the sidelines. Ninety days left, and every single person who shows up makes the difference bigger. #BlueWaveIn90Days #USDemocracy #Voices4Victory

A central part of why it seems like powerful, rich people live in a consequence-free world is that the social incentives to hold them to account have withered. www.ctinsider.com/columnist/ar... 𝟏𝟐-𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞-𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬
How much money does Louisiana siphon American taxpayers?
GOP Death Camps If you remain a Republican or vote for them you are complicit in kidnapping and harming children.
11/ This oversight dodging isn’t just a Louisiana story. In California, DHS just spent 1.5 billion dollars buying a CoreCivic detention center outright, a move critics say exists to strip the state of power to inspect and regulate it.
10/ Here’s how on Operation Geaux works: prisoners who’d normally go thru a standard parole board, with public hearings and a chance to argue their case, instead get funneled thru this separate panel straight into ICE custody for removal, no full process attached. www.propublica.org/article/loui...
Louisiana Made It Nearly Impossible to Get Parole. Now It’s Releasing Prisoners to Deport Them.
Gov. Jeff Landry eliminated parole for prisoners arrested after Aug. 1, 2024, and tightened eligibility rules for those already in prison. Then he set all of that aside for one group: undocumented imm...

9/ It’s called Operation Geaux. Meanwhile Louisiana is making parole harder to get for its own citizens. Parole isn’t expanding as mercy, it’s narrowing for residents and flipping into a deportation shortcut for noncitizens. They don’t seek rehabilitation, they seek permanent incarceration.
8/ Then there’s Louisiana’s governor, Jeff Landry. His state built a special parole panel, not to release people early, but to hand certain prisoners straight to ICE for deportation, skipping the full hearing an ordinary parole case would get.
7/ These are publicly traded companies. Every new bed filled is revenue. Every ICE expansion is a good quarter. The CEOs running GEO Group and CoreCivic get richer as the detained population grows, wherever those people came from. Black or immigrant children will suffice for these modern day slavers
6/ Now that same machine is being pointed at immigrants. Private prison companies GEO Group and CoreCivic are expanding detention capacity in rural Louisiana, cutting costs and cashing in as ICE detention hits record highs. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxqn...

5/ That’s not a metaphor. Louisiana has incarcerated people at some of the highest rates on the planet for decades, with parish sheriffs & private operators both profiting off every body held in a cell. Louisiana recently tried to make it easier to lock up Black children www.vera.org/news/louisia...

4/ To understand why Louisiana, look at its history. This is the state that turned prisons into an economic engine, using oil boom money to build the prison capital of the world. A poor red state economy is predicated upon incarceration of people. truthout.org/articles/how...
How Oil Money Turned Louisiana Into the Prison Capital of the World
A series of events in the 1970s led to the state’s penal system becoming intertwined with the swings of its oil economy.

3/ PFAS chemicals don’t break down. They build up in blood and organs for years and are linked to cancer, liver damage, and harm to child development. This is the land the federal government picked to put kids on, short term or not.
2/ The site is called England Airpark, an old Air Force base in Louisiana. ICE plans to hold migrant families and kids there, on ground with some of the highest PFAS readings in the country. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

1/ Louisiana just approved a detention site for migrant kids on a military base soaked in PFAS chemicals. Not a mistake. It’s what a state does after decades building a prison economy, then hunting new bodies to fill it. Slavery never ended in the south.🧵 #DV1 #ProudBlue #Voices4Victory #USDemocracy

Ahhh yes ..Cenk Uygur Co-founder of Justice Democrats
It's hard to have a fatter, greasier and squarer head than James Comer, but Cenk "It's Genocide against Palestinians but not Armenians" Uygur takes the plus size asshat crown. Another Champagne Socialist and champion of working people...as long as they don't want to unionize if they work for him.
Medicare too or are we talking about this harsh new Medicaid work requirement. Healthcare that btw becomes more necessary when people lose work and can't find new work because the economy is utter garbage, thanks largely to extremely stupid Republican policies
And then you make them bag instead of helping, cause that’s the good old USA.
I can see it now, you are getting your groceries and checking out. The person at the cash is in a hospital gown, with an oxigen hose drapped around their face. From thier arm trails two I.V. tubes leading to bags hanging off an I.V. rack. They cough roughly before asking, "Paper or plastic?"
John Birch philosophy has almost overpowered us. I am not surprised. They said they were going to burn the healthcare system, especially for the most vulnerable, in their manifesto. They have been saying it for years.
