I’m so sick of people wanting to be coddled and comforted. You’re in the fight to break this “Status Quo” or you’re not. We need competent leadership, not vibes!

I’m sorry, but I disagree. Discussion around this topic for some reason always comes back to they don’t want to vote like this, but they are “afraid” or they are “cowards.” It’s pattern of behavior and it suggests to me they WANT all of this. After 2016, I finally understood the Republican Party.

“Unity without accountability” is just manipulative gaslighting rooted in the same supremacy and steadfast colonization that powered plantations. Except this pattern is less obvious and more painful… A “blue 🌊” under these current ⛺️ circumstances won’t change shit if we don’t call a thing a thing🤷🏽‍♀️

Talking about how out of touch you are with how it all works but BIG talkers - like Maga you listen to hype over any real facts … We will win in the midterms because the opposite party always does .. But when they don’t deliver will go back to Republicans- learn some history .. and how it all works

We need to stop GOP sharia law. It already has taken away the freedom of women in 13 states where they have total abortion bans. Their goal is total domination. GOP sharia law is NOT compatible with a democratic Republic. It must be defeated!!

Piker has crossed the line many times for years. Lied on and smeared and mocked VP Harris and Biden. Said he didn’t care about Black voters (using vile language) Was swearing and abusive to an immigrant who fled communist country, the list goes on

An immigration enforcement system that punishes people for the government’s own delay is a system which destroys its own legitimacy. People are being thrown in handcuffs and put in ICE detention despite having done every single thing the U.S. government asked them to do.

This couple came legally. They applied for asylum before their visas expired, wanting to do it all by the books. After six months, they applied for work permits to stay afloat, passing background checks. They worked legally and paid taxes while government delay dragged on. Then ICE came for them.

The couple quickly became key to Chicago’s nightlife, curating events and performing in some of Chicago’s most popular venues. They were getting ready for their biggest venture yet: following Karol G’s tour across the country, hosting unofficial afterparties.
But on Sunday morning, as the couple walked out of their rideshare outside of Midway Airport, they were apprehended by federal immigration agents. The two were on their way to take a flight to Washington, D.C., the first stop of the tour. They never made it through the door.
The Department of Homeland Security said it had arrested Panqueva, 26, and Paez, 27, for overstaying their visas, which both expired in 2022. But their attorney, Enrique Espinoza, said the pair had applied for asylum within the required time frame before their visas expired. The two both have asylum cases, Social Security numbers, work permits and the documents required for their ongoing legal process, Espinoza said.

The couple’s arrest outside Midway Airport aligns with what immigration attorneys across the country have observed in recent months: an increase in ICE arrests at airports of people traveling domestically with expired visas but pending immigration cases. www.chicagotribune.com/2026/08/05/c...
