i've found when you work with people you actually like and they come back with roughs you usually go "wow i hadn't considered doing it like this, this is an awesome direction!" and you appreciate what different perspectives and ideas they bring into your collaborative work.

trying to make things kinda generic so I can combine different systems. here the "pully" event can listen to what "percent" something is and move other objects based on that. and then I have an "attachment" event to tie objects so they move together.

I routinely choose the bus over a car share for exactly this reason. My kiddo and I have great fun eating snacks and reading books which would be impossible if I was driving. Driving is a dangerous job and it sucks, I'd rather have a pro do it while I play with my kid

Car share worked well to get out of the city but people don’t talk about how difficult cars are with babies. Say it’s just you, the driver. The baby is back seat facing away. You can barely see or interact with them, can’t offer food or toys or fix any issues. Sleeping? Crying?

Idk I kinda like the style of the OoT remake. Like yeah, it's exorbitant (and I'd agree that some of the clothing detailing is distracting) but it seems really expressive still, especially in the environments. Kinda like an oil painting. I wouldn't call it very "realistic"

compilation of favorite video game locations pieces I've made over the years - all 5x7" ink on claybord I think i started during first lockdown in 2020 with the Secret of Mana piece (non-exhaustive cause carousels are limited to 10)

Our game decides what color everything is by dynamically indexing into a palette based on the red-channel at run time, split evenly into 4 segments. I just noticed the colors we use for drawing stuff isn't evenly distributed, which MOST of the time has no impact

Our games industry is people. Our studios are people. Our teams people, our games by people for people. Our games are made by people, in groups of people, in teams of people, making people things for people. The magic is people, and the people deserve so much better than all this. I am so sorry.
