THE ODYSSEY's instantly, predictably enormous success is Exhibit #32176 that the right wing's grievance-farming operation is not some great American cultural shift. Most people don't give a shit about their petty crusades.

Last night I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey, for the 1st time in 25 years (since the 70MM new print re-release in 2001 itself), at the BFI IMAX+my god it’s still an astoundingly mesmeric miracle of filmmaking to this day and seeing it on the biggest screen in Britain only enveloped me in the magic more.

Sad to hear that the seemingly joyous, funny and lovely Actor, Sam Neil, has passed away. If you’re looking for a hidden gem of his as a tribute watch I highly recommend fantastic Thriller, Dead Calm, which appears to be woefully underseen these days. Neil really could do it all, R.I.P.
