Not sure whether to dive into Ted Lasso or not. I watched every season, it was alright, pretty harmless, not in my top 50 shows of all time or anything, but it was okay. It just feels like that was enough for me.

A man & a dog. Come for pictures of Wilbur 🐶, stay for #Pittsburgh Sports, #mufc musings and general randomness. Ex-weatherdude. Completely preposterous, but absolutely human. Native of Manchester, now in the Democratic People's Republic of Bromsgrove.
Holy shit. Holeeeeee shiiiiit. This group has members facing murder charges, fraudsters, actual paedos, and violent criminals and now this???? Ban them. Make membership of the group a crime.
Leaders of flag-raising group Raise the Colours Oxfordshire placed trackers on highway workers’ cars to find out their home addresses, the High Court has heard. RTC then attempted to intimidate the highway staff into no longer removing flags by repeating their addresses to them.
I wrote about the triumph of Doing Your Own Research and the stupid, nasty thing that is replacing some very recent history in real time. defector.com/were-just-go...
We're Just Going To Keep Doing 2020 Again Until All The Wrong Stuff Is True | Defector
In a bunch of ways, there is no real percentage in remembering what things were actually like during the worst years of the COVID-19 pandemic. Beyond all the uncertainty and suffering and death, there...

Hopefully these guys survived the impact and are going to be able to do something practical with the wreckage 🙂

RIP, Electronic Arts and those who work there. I loved the games you put out for my Megadrive 🥺
EA officially goes private tonight, meaning: - EA will no longer trade on the NASDAQ for the first time in 36 years - All stockholders of EA (including many employees) will receive $210/share - EA will take on $18 billion (!) in debt, putting it on the hook to pay ~$1.8 billion/year in interest
No cheating, post your lock screen.
No cheating, post your lock screen.
It's better if you say it in your most outrageous Aussie accent.
Somebody went to school to learn how to make graphics like this and gets paid to post them with a straight face.
Starbucks dropped this into my inbox. Design a cup competition. Winner has their cup made. See your design on billboards. Are they paying the winning artist for this, for their work that they are using in their advertising? Dont worry about that, it’s not important right now….
This sucks ass. When I start my car I want to be able to put my foot on the pedal and drive off. I dont want to watch an ad. A distracting ad. Right in the middle of my console. Again. This sucks ass.

as we saw with Charlie Kirk it’s extremely notable that no fans of Rod Liddle include any of their favourite quotes from him in their tributes

@timcattlin.bsky.social hi - I saw your earlier post, but can't reply as you don't follow me, the person you refer to posts on Insta regularly and I do know some of what's going on with them.
I think this confuses the private person, who can be mourned by friends, family and colleagues, and the public figure, whose legacy can be assessed based on his work. These are two different things and they have to coexist
I am saddened by the tone of commentary in this place about my former BBC colleague. The level of vitriol seems more suited to the other place. I worked with Rod at the Today programme. He took no prisoners, but he was witty and personally capable of genuine warmth. My sympathy to his family.
A whole lot of relievers about to be DFA’d in the Pirates bullpen, not before time either
A couple more righties to the bullpen. Source confirms Pirates have acquired Lake Bachar from the Marlins and Kirby Yates from Angels.
Thought he was mellowing after his great interview with Kyle Brandt on the weekend and talking about reconcilliation with his family and all that. That's on me. Won't get fooled again by him.
It’s August 2026 and Aaron Rodgers is having a full blown meltdown about Anthony Fauci.
July 2026 was an exceptional month for the UK's climate statistics, with records challenged or broken for rainfall, temperature and sunshine. Read more in our press release ⤵️ www.metoffice.gov.uk/about-us/new...
Brilliant letter from Stuart Thompson to Jeremy Clarkson about his comments that benefit claimants should write weekly thank you letters to tax payers detailing how they spend their benefits each week.
Always good to speak ill of the dead when they were alive.
Given the fact that he was the editor of The Sport, I always thought that his character rehabilitation act by the BBC was a strange one. Remembering what was public back in the day, it seems that it was only a matter of time before this sort of episode would resurface.
Radio presenter Tony Livesey leaves BBC after David Sullivan allegations
Of course he does. Instead of addressing this with his board members and the FIFA VP's and meeting with them, he goes running off to the people who got him into this mess in the first place. Again, he's not disproving the theory that so many people at the top of organisations just aren't smart.
