I was just thinking about how Jean Ure captured the feeling of being a pre-teen/early teens so perfectly. And the illustrations in her books were great too.

Without affordable rent, nothing gets better. Kids can't move out and be independent and maybe have their own kids. There's nowhere to go meet friends and hang out. There's no nightlife. No cute shops. No $-$$ restaurants. There are no cultural scenes. More traffic from people commuting in. etc.

i assume banning kids from social media will be accompanied by a huge investment in teen-friendly communtiy spaces (like youth clubs) and social activities? No? Huh.
