So proud of Dr. Alana Egan for successfully defending her F31-funded dissertation, entitled "A Qualitative Inquiry of Substance Use, Suicidal Ideation, and Historical Trauma in Pacific Islander Adults." Her expertise, dedication, and thoughtful scholarship really shined throughout the defense!
It’s even better than the old location at the Palace of Fine Arts. It’s more accessible to mass transit, has outdoor as well as indoor exhibits, and more room to grow. It’s a must see for young and old, and it’s engaging enough to turn science-phobics into science-philics.

gwen howerton@kissphoria.bsky.social · 7mo agoremember when the IRS put out a a free online tax filing system where you could just do your taxes through the IRS and it was actually well made and was pretty well recieved and then the tax filing industry and Republicans killed it and now you have to use TurboTax again
