The Spanish way of saying “from where” is ‘de donde’. However, a thousand years ago, that would’ve meant “from from from where”. In Old Spanish, “from where” was simply ‘onde’, but this word ended up getting reinforced by ‘de’ (“from”) twice. Click my new infographic to see how it happened.

AI can't translate. It can give you the gist of a text, but not an accurate, well-written translation. Meanwhile, translators are being replaced by AI, and many are leaving the business. Language courses are closing down. So basically a whole profession and its skills are being wiped out.

What the fuck is it good for? Im asking sincerely. Medical people say its shit for diagnosing, its utter garbage for creative fields, it cannot teach and hallucinates false answers, programmers have to fix its code half the time, businesses find it doesn't help productivity and it causes psychosis.
