How did all this dust get everywhere? It's like magic.

Sam Altman said people are just gonna have to die in order to implement AI. In the very same week, Anthropic claimed it’s a human rights violation to be mean to the computer. These people need to be held accountable. They think lines of code are a person with rights but living people are debris.

Over the past year, Anthropic has repeatedly flirted with the idea that its AI models could be conscious in some way. In February, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said on a podcast, “We don’t know if the models are conscious.”

In Arizona, a congressional candidate says she was raped while trying to repair campaign signs this summer. In a statement to the PBS News Hour, Democrat Bernadette Greene Placentia's campaign says she "hopes that by speaking about her experience, others will know they are not alone."

Super Mario Sunshine is surprisingly more realistic than later Mario games in one specific aspect: here, Mario will start drowning if he hangs on to a ledge in such a way that water is flowing into his nose and mouth, as one would in real life.

Observe Mario holding on to a ledge that water is flowing over in Super Mario Galaxy (left) and Super Mario Odyssey (right). If realistic physics applied, he should start drowning since his nostrils and mouth are covered by water flowing into them.
However, in these games the air depletion/drowning state is tied to the swimming animation. As long as Mario is not visibly swimming, he cannot be drowning even if he is covered by water.
In Super Mario Sunshine, however, air depletion is decoupled from swimming as an action, allowing Mario to realistically start drowning in this situation (note him flashing red and his air meter depleting).
However, he is saved by Sunshine's (also unique among 3D Mario platformers) ledge tiredness mechanic. After hanging on for 20 seconds, Mario will let go. This is also realistic, since why would he let himself drown?

OH MY GOD I made an alt dedicated to playing only the Dragonflight main campaign and nothing else. Chromie just yanked me out of the experience, all the way back to Orgrimmar, as I was flying toward the banquet at the very end of the campaign. How dare I experience one story from start to finish?!

Then I humor the railroading and barely do enough to reach the social hub at the start of War Within and it's already throwing quests to start Midnight. Why is Blizzard so afraid that I might actually be playing their game?

I understand that linguistics is descriptive and not prescriptive; be that as it may, I continue to hope that we as a species do not accept "rouge" as a correct spelling of "rogue."
