Prime Minister is promising new legislation to ‘Build Canada Strong’. It seems amending the Canada Labour Code is part of the plan, but strengthening workers rights isn’t what he’s talking about. The real Carney wants foreign investment above all and is prepared to sacrifice labour rights to get it.
Liberals have long been tepid supporters of workers. Looks like they are shifting to full hostility.

39 days to go … for the love of Christ this *needs* to be a core campaign message that at every opportunity gets repeated over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again (IMHO).
This sounds like the perfect formula for more overflowing old sewers, more broken watermains, more potholes and even more reductions to OC Transpo services. @jleiper.bsky.social is sounding like a better option every day!
mark-sutcliffe.bsky.social@mark-sutcliffe.bsky.social · 4d agoWe can't add to the burden of families facing rising costs. For the past four years, Ottawa has had the lowest tax increases of any major Canadian city. I kept my promise to keep taxes as low as possible.
Transit woes? Busted sidewalks? Closed rec centres? Long waiting lists for affordable and emergency housing? Parks without washrooms? Closed pools and beaches? Pot holes in roads? Want more of this? Then keep on supporting and voting for 2.5% caps like this.
