Caring has been central to my life, and the lives of millions across the country. I'll be meeting the Prime Minister today to discuss how we can finally find a solution to the care crisis. We need to do things differently. I really hope we are on a journey to fix this.

As a young single mum and journalist I remember interviewing Sue Johnston about her experience of raising a child on her own and she gave me absolutely invaluable advice about the importance of building a support system. Total legend ❤️

Donald Trump is doubling down on his reckless trade war, after his last tariff tantrum was ruled illegal. He's a bully and an unreliable ally. We can't have continuity Starmer. Andy Burnham must stand up to Trump.

Delighted Andy Burnham is capping bus fares at £2 which my @libdems.org.uk MP colleagues and I called for but as I raised in Transport Questions last week in Eastleigh we also need bus routes reinstated - and the times for concessionary travel should be extended.

The social care crisis is a catastrophe for families, for the NHS and for local services. Liberal Democrats stand ready to work across party lines to tackle this existential crisis. For carers and for our country. Nothing matters more.

End the social care catastrophe:

1. Put family carers front and centre with guaranteed rights for every carer

2. Universal safety net, including free personal care

3. Protect people from catastrophic costs

My @libdems.org.uk MP colleagues and I have been consistently calling for this unworkable, costly, intrusive policy to be scrapped. It would have discriminated against the digitally excluded and the money can be much better spent elsewhere, Right decision. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Andy Burnham to scrap digital ID to focus on 'helping with cost of living'

A spokesperson for the incoming prime minister says his Government would “put its focus where people need it right now”.

The rot at FIFA has gone too far. Under Infantino, political greed has completely broken the game we love. We can't just watch from the sidelines anymore, the FA and our European partners need to walk away and build a fair, clean alternative from scratch. It’s time to move on.

England did us proud and gave us all hope this summer. Hopefully many more kids across the country will be inspired to play football. Thank you for everything #ENG 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🦁🦁🦁

I was proud to support the Hillsborough law tonight, which means so much to to all the victims and families who have suffered terrible miscarriages of justice. They include the victims of the infected blood scandal and Horizon post office scandal who live in Eastleigh.

Infantino must go. No matter where it’s held, the World Cup belongs to the fans – not gangsters like Trump. We need someone who’ll finally kick corruption out of FIFA.

Half a million flogging gold, a £5M reward for Brexit - and now reports say he’s been funded by a convicted criminal. Farage isn't fighting for Britain - he's fighting for the highest bidder.
