Sim's motion directing staff to "use all tools available" inc permitting, licensing, prev legal settlements, etc to prevent opening of OPS passes. Councillors Fry and Orr had tabled motions to defer Sim's motion until council could hear from others, inc VCH; both voted down.

We can be fierce champions of democracy & human rights in Iran while, at the same time, firmly rejecting unilateral & unlawful military action by one state against another. Both are, after all, grounded in the same values & the same vision for humanity. Both take us in the same direction.

Experience from early 2000s shows that underfunding public services and failing to address poverty leads to higher economic and social costs

Here’s the bottom line for what’s going on with Grok - if the owner of the website is putting his thumb on the scale hard enough for the chatbot to turn into Goebbels, you should be deeply concerned about what he’s doing to the algorithm that you can’t so easily see, and what it’s doing to you

There is no amount of screaming that will express how angry I am for the women of America right now, and no amount of caution I can issue fellow Canadians to never, EVER, take our abortion rights for granted. Eyes WIDE open. Never believe them when they say they won't do it. They will.
