Yet again, the Game UI Database is being scraped to the point that it's getting knocked offline. Even Cloudflare's "I'm under attack" mode isn't working. I just wanted to create a resource for real designers. I'm getting so fucking sick of this.
Happy October 3rd! Yes that last pic is mine from 2018… 💖
The true highlight of this past weekend was getting to talk to Ben Starr and hearing how much he respects localizers and the work we do. It still feels surreal. Thank you, @benstarr.bsky.social 💜
Fan X SLC haul! Met some new friends too! 💜
Why does everyone wear Broncos attire when going back to Denver? Maybe other cities do it too but on return flights everyone is suddenly the biggest Broncos fan 😂
Had a very successful con day! Met Nick and Roger and saw Ben and Tim again. Needed to pick up an autograph for my boyfriend from Ben and I decided to get a video from Tim for my friend and the discord she made. I made sure he made them all blush hehe~ They loved it 😊
I’m now eating an over priced quesadilla in my hotel room. I’ve been on my feet since 11am. Made new friends though!
I waited 3 hours for Tim Downie (we actually talked this time) and he signed my Funko, and then I met Ben Starr and he took a bunch of selfies with me 🤣
I will not allow myself to be first to meet Tim Downie this time. I’m going to actually talk to him 😆 It’s 5:30am and the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast for an hour and I don’t have to leave for the con until 11. Gonna play Umamusume I guess lol
I can’t believe I get to meet Ben Starr today. Out of all the people I’m seeing this weekend, he just doesn’t feel real? As a tiktok comment on a video he posted said: “I love whatever is wrong with you, Ben Starr”.
Okay I actually did a lot of work today and barely slept last night so I’m out for now!
Awhile back my team translated a game demo, and if it did well the full game would be made. And we've recently heard that it's going ahead. The dev had tons of praise for our translation because the players loved it. Most important feedback? Players loved that it clearly *wasn't* AI translation.
THEY ARRIVED! Um… do I wear socks with them? Serious question lol
I feel so old. I just saw something translated as “no cap” and well… it works 🤣
I’ve never worn Crocs in my life and within two days they were out of the ones I wanted for the flight so I had to go for another pair. 11 y/o me is so proud. Yeah I bought the Yugioh Crocs. They’ll be here Thursday. Just enough time to see if they’ll work lol 🤣😭🙃
My dad was home for lunch and I was playing RDR2. He was watching TV downstairs and I hear “we all remember where we were on that day—“ **THIS IS A TEST OF THE EMERGENCY BROADCAST SYSTEM** I jumped outta my skin and my horse nearly went off a cliff 😭 HORRIBLE TIMING
It’s taken me some months but I’m finally playing Romeo is a Dead Man. I love it.
magic cereal is the official snack of peace walker
Pearl has been hanging out with me more lately 😊💜 Yes I got the Hello Kitty x Godzilla Happy Meal. Might get two tomorrow (one for me and one to send to S since it’s not available in the UK and she’s just starting to watch Godzilla).
Rewatching @mattmcmuscles.bsky.social and @liamallenmiller.bsky.social play The Ring Dreamcast game and I have tears in my eyes. What a game. 🤣
So Pearl is clearly a fan of Baldur’s Gate 3
Had to say goodbye to Sophie earlier. Here’s to you, Sophie 🫡
I’m finally back to being me. Still have some work to do, but oh does it feel great to be back!
