I truly, deeply, sincerely do think the guy flipping burgers at McDonalds should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That's kind of the whole point of having a job and I can't believe this is considered a radical position.🤷🏽♀️

Awhile back my team translated a game demo, and if it did well the full game would be made. And we've recently heard that it's going ahead. The dev had tons of praise for our translation because the players loved it. Most important feedback? Players loved that it clearly *wasn't* AI translation.
Pauline Hanson’s comments about Maryanne Albanese have been treated as another political controversy. The deeper question is what happens when cruelty and grievance become a route to attention and power, Kos Samaras writes. #auspol #OneNation #Politics
Age usually changes what matters. Pauline Hanson has spent 30 years rewarded for grievance
Emotional priorities often change as people grow older. Pauline Hanson’s latest remarks raise a more troubling question about what happens when grievance is repeatedly rewarded instead.

I have MS. I need a lumbar puncture on the 25th to confirm before starting treatment to prevent further nerve damage. It has a 1k upfront copay. That is HALF my pay for a month, and I'm the sole income for my fam of 3. I could really use help to keep on top of things! 🙏❤️ #mutalaid

Anyone can become disabled at any time. It’s not a moral failing. It’s not laziness or a lack of effort. It’s a part of the human condition. People get sick. Bodies break down. It’s a minority group you can join any time.
So I spent the last 3 hours being suspended for being a "spammer", all because I manually posted a long, thoughtful reply to someone who asked me a few questions about using machine translation in their indie game. The suspension happened the *instant* I hit "post" on my replies. Fun times! 😵💫
Fun fact: "Reviewing an AI made translation" is more work for translators than just translating it themselves, because AI translations do not pass the sniff test beyond the most superficial. It's a loophole companies use as an excuse to underpay translators, and nothing else.

Does anyone know how to get this on the radar of more VN people? Almost all the response has been from books, which is fine, and makes sense given the circles to which I have access, but I'd like to get beyond those if possible.
I'm gonna try to put together a Horror bundle on Itchio for october, if you've got a horror e-book or vn, go ahead and message me a link. 📚📦
