A big difference between how LLMs work for coding vs how I work for coding, is that I'm not immediately going to restore from the last checkpoint before trying again. I'm more likely to change what I have in place.

Would you look at that! Marvel does know how to make a fun and good movie that loves comic books and superheroes. And have trailers that don't give away the whole thing.

it’s never a great sign for your society when all the competent people who believe in doing a good job for the sake of it conclude that they’re actively being punished for these qualities, while malignantly stupid criminals are making bank

Box marked fragile, and yet was thrown at the door. A hole punctured near the Fragile label.

Now that I’ve totally escaped the cloud and self-host all my own services I’m left with all these noisy computers I have to deal with. But I access them all over the network already; perhaps I could pay to put them in some kind of specialized remote computer facility

I'm not surprised entirely, but Tailscale Aperture is 90% of the tedious bits of how I want to manage my personal AI hardware, and all I need to do is decide tasks based on model names . And also provides the Frontier Escape Hatch. Now what tasks to send to what is the real question...
