My daily planner, open on today's page (April 17). I've written "Bat Appreciation Day!!" in pen at the top. The page is decorated with various bat stamps, stickers, and stencil drawings. There's also pink washi tape with lots of bats on it along the left edge on the page. There's not a lot of room left to actually write anything.

Stone marten climbed this stump and took a shit on top 😀

A tall tree stump, a bit over a meter tall, in a grassy area surrounded by bushes and trees. On top is a large upside-down ceramic tray, the kind that goes under a very large flower pot. I think that's to protect the wood cause my stepdad wants to use it for something. On the tray, looking very small because the picture was taken from some distance, is marten poop, consisting mostly of stones from drupes or berries (I don't know which, I'm very much not a botanist).

Straight-on view of a single dahlia called Arbatax. It's a relatively big dahlia and it is very light in color. It's white with a pink center and a pink rim along the outer edge of each petal, bright towards the center, fading to nothing on the outer petals. The petals are wider and very uniform and symmetric. They are rolled in only slightly and end in a rounded point.

Several smaller, soft pink blooms. These are called Wizard of Oz. It's a very round flower with rolled petals, especially in the center.

My photo shows an ancient Egyptian hollow blue spherical bead in the form of a hedgehog curled up in a defensive ball displayed on a grey background. It is made of Egyptian faience, a ceramic material with a shiny blue glaze. The hedgehog's snout, ears, paws and tail are shown in relief, and the quills are represented by black dots painted over the surface of the bead. A smll hole for threading runs through the sphere - it can be seen on the right hand side of the bead in my photo. The hedgehog's long ears suggest this is a desert hedgehog. Desert hedgehogs may have symbolized rebirth to the ancient Egyptians because they reappear after hibernating. Dated c.1985 - 1650 BC. On display at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.
