The caspian terns had a very successful breeding season this year at the Salton Sea, in the restoration area at the south end. They had a whole man-made island to themselves and there are still many of them there. Today was the first time I've ever seen a juvenile caspian tern!

It's completely failed. None of this is able to stand on its own, not even the legal rulings, most of which are nonsensical. If anything all they've done is drive up the bill they have to pay once the party ends, already absurd, to insane levels.

What really lost me on Stevens is when the nice young woman with a baby on her chest - a plant, certainly, but effective - asked her with care, moderation, and respect why she takes AIPAC money. "As a mother, my sympathy with Gazan children," and so forth. Stevens replied, "Thanks for coming out."
