Very happy to see this story finally out (link in comments)! We used low-input Capture Hi-C to profile promoter-anchored chromosomal interactions in Type 3 innate lymphoid cells (ILC3s) - rare tissue-resident lymphocytes that lack antigen receptors and regulate barrier immunity.

A query: cGAS, STING, AIM2, NODs, NLRs, RLRs: All these PRRs are categorized as pathogen sensors, because they reside in the cytoplasm. In contrast, TLRs sense non-pathogens and pathogens. How confirmed is this dogma, beyond the usual (small) set of pathogens that we all study?

IFNλ works at mucosal surfaces by signaling in epithelial cells and selected immune cells. Zhou, Zhang et al. (rupress.org/jem/article/...) demonstrate that IFNλ also signals in kidney fibroblasts sustaining renal #fibrosis. @lozanzi.bsky.social highlights the findings: rupress.org/jem/article/...

A decade ago we showed that T-dependent IgM+ memory B cells (MBCs) that express CD80 and CD73 rapidly respond to a secondary Plasmodium infection (Krishnamurty, Immunity, 2016). Since then, post-doc Gretchen Harms Pritchard has been working out the cues that lead to the formation of these cells. ⤵️
