As much as I know that this will only lead to the company’s own demise, the money needed to make masterpieces like this prevent the original artists from just doing it on their own. Meaning, they’re forced to repeat this process at another company that promises to be different.

Online discourse pits us against each other so we don't pay attention to billionaires getting richer while dismantling careers and meddling in media. Every idiot who cheers this on will earn NOTHING but a temporary revenue boost. Your gas is still too expensive. Your hardware is still too pricy.

EA is going private under PIF and Jared Kushner's ownership. Wilson will probably make even more money while thousands of people look for work. This isn't a win for anyone except the fat cats who want us to remain angry at each other online so we don't pay attention to their strip mining.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson was chastised by the board for his exorbitant pay back in 2020 ($39 million). He made more than $10 million less in both 2022 and 2023, but received a $38 million payout in 2026.

Consolidation is killing our industry. The Gamergaters who make money off the rage game will have you think this is a victory. This is purely a loss. A loss of work and art and fun and expression in a space that desperately needs it. Massive fucking bummer.

For more than 30 years, BioWare has been more than a studio. It has been a home for storytellers, developers, an the players who brought our worlds to life. Baldur's Gate. Neverwinter Nights. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Dragon Age. Mass Effect. Anthem. Now, after more than three decades of shared adventures, BioWare is closing and early development on the next Mass Effect project is ending. There is nothing easy about writing those words. Our focu right now is on our incredibly talented team who put thei hearts into these games, and supporting one another through this transition. What generations of BioWare built together is something t celebrate and remember. These games became so much mor because you played them, debated your choices, fell in love with the characters, and made these worlds your own.

I'm old enough to remember when Pauline Hanson was so offended at being lampooned by drag artist 'Pauline Pantsdown' that she took her application for an injunction against PP all the way to the High Court. Seems the admonishment to 'have a laugh' only goes one way.

If Grant and Torpey are going to be the fullbacks in the same XI, I’d like to see them swap flanks. Torpey is stronger on her right, and Grant is pretty good on both feet and I still think her best Matildas performance came at LB. On 2nd watch, need more overlap on the left
