It actually pisses me off so much that in a world where people are dying due to a lack of healthcare and unable to pay rent and unable to afford food and all these other pressing issues the number one priority in government seems to be stopping girls from playing soccer with their schoolmates
I think a big reason why the US doesn't really go into depths about the horrors of slavery in school is because a lot of the way American History is taught sort of hinges on "slavery was bad and the founding fathers were imperfect for allowing it"
