OMG. 29 years ago I put an Easter egg in Duke Nukem 3D Mac, that replaced two of the in-game posters with pictures of a couple plush animals I had. I never told anyone other than my wife about the code (DNGLENDA) and completely forgot I did this. 1/2

Two screen shots from Duke Nukem 3D showing a pixelated bunny and cow in the game.A brown plush rabbit and a black and white plush cow

Scenes such as this where the light is reflecting on the water are accomplished through a process called "backlighting", "underlighting" or "bipack glow". To create the effect a matte is cut and light is shone through the holes.

one of many funny things about xenoblade 2 is how blatantly obvious it is which characters were designed by nomura. they're modeled in a completely different, more KH-esque art style from the main characters. it's making me hyper-aware that nomura designs anime characters with actual noses

A screenshot of Rex from Xenoblade 2. Flat anime facial features. Tiny anime noseAkhos. Somewhat more realistic, detailed facial features. Normal noseNia. No noseMalos. Nose
