The transmasculine struggle (for me) feels like an eternal catch-22 where you can either make the objectively healthy but “morally dubious” choice (transition), or the “morally correct” but unhealthy choice (repression). The former is technically the right choice — but you’ll feel bad for making it.

Not too badly yet but imma bout to (It’s worth noting that a lot of my characters had their worst trauma in their past and are dealing with the aftermath of it. But my main character probably goes through her most traumatizing thing in the present story! She is lucky and special in that way! 😁)

To be honest, the numbers don’t look as scary to me as they did in my head. At first. 🤣 Book 2 really is still only longer than Book 1 by like 30-ish pages for a while. But then you realize I’m at page 146 and still have a lot of Act 2 left bc of the multiple character arcs. Double the scenes. 😩

The only way I can think of doing that is maybe dividing them into 3 acts because that’s how I tend to write them anyway. I just don’t wanna draw covers for ‘em lol.

Oh yeah, I did finish watching Moral Orel today. Season 3 in particular got really artistic in a way I wasn’t really expecting. Everything that kinda spiraled after the Nature episodes to be honest. I can see why people in ex-religious spaces were raving so much about this show maybe 3 years ago lol
