that said, that’s just the risk you absorb when you are willing to take a big swing, and it’s refreshing to see someone not shy away from it
I mean, sure, but it is ALSO about will and motivation — plenty of mayors have chosen not to use the NYC mayoral power to its fullest, or have not deployed it strategically while engaging the community. There’s lots for political leaders to learn about HOW Mamdani is using his power.

I have a foul mouth and am not at all conservative about cursing at work, but I find this kind of thing so unnecessary and off putting — not least bc of course only some people in power are allowed to speak this way and still be seen as “professional”

Skip the national service idea. Instead, expand PSLF to include needed trade work, make the timeline shorter for forgiveness, and lower costs of higher ed & trade schools.

I will honor his choice.
