Adam is bad at art

Published author, attempting to learn 3D Modelling, digital art and write a TTRPG. Bi, anxiety ridden, depressed as heck. AI sucks. Soft Cardigans, heavy metal, gory movies and warm blankets. Cults3D: https://cults3d.com/en/users/adamjlove92/3d-models
"It's the only way forwards" Says Microsoft exec pushing a drill bit up their nose. "The gamers want this." Turning the impact driver to hammer. "If we could just implement AI into this somehow" GRRRrRrrrrRRrrRRR. "Mikosof Exec good at job."
Microsoft switches to monthly hour limits in big changes to Xbox Cloud Gaming, cites rising cloud costs: ▪️Ultimate: 15 hours ▪️Premium: 10 hours ▪️Essential: 5 hours Once subscribers use up their hours, they can buy additional cloud playtime through the Xbox Store ➡️ www.ign.com/articles/mic...
They REALLY want to prop up the "Buying isn't owning, piracy isn't stealing" crowd huh.... This is why I built a PC. At least I can emulate and find abandonware of games I loved.
Sony says "reasonable consumers" know they don’t own the digital PlayStation games they buy. It argues that it's "not plausible" to suggest that when they buy a digital game they actually believe they're "obtaining ownership" of it. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/sony-sa...
Second try because my first #DarkSun post turned ramble. Ecological Collapse and Abuse, Slavery and Struggle are pivitol to the whole message and point. Dark Sun doesn't have slavery because it likes slavery, any more than Indina Jones likes Nazis, they existed to be punched and proved wrong.
Man who stabbed you: "BUT WHAT ABOUT THE COMPANY THAT MAKES THE KNIVES!?"
Lab Leak Theory opens the door to blame specific actors instead of the culture at large that allowed a deadly virus to spread largely because of selfish people who wouldn’t even mask. It’s in those people’s interest to make sure the public conversation never returns to their irresponsibility.

if you ask me, the most unrealistic thing about Jurassic Park is that there isn't a single f-bomb, no one says "fuck", not even once
Another amazing commission from @rossydoesdrawings.bsky.social. Time and time again I am blown away with their work.
Things that have all the energy of A/I without actually being A/I, I'll start: Open World Survival Crafting game with Synty Asset Pack.
I look forward to Robute Guilliman re-enacting this famous statue with Snotlings.
you may think "oh god ANOTHER space-marine-killing-ork mini?🙄" but you can see the ork has now shrunk in size. and by extrapolating, we can deduce that the next such mini will have MORE golden crap on them and the victim will be a smaller greenskin. next they will reveal a custode killing a grot
I wish this was so noble, but GW is floundering in the face of 3D printing. This is a hidden knife, it's taking advantage of nostalgia to score brownie points. This isn't about giving you something for free, it's about keeping your eyes on GW products and away from the cheap, available prints.

Doing some stuff on my scratch built boats for 28mm wargaming. Junk and scrap welded ugly together for the post-apoc/miserable future vibe. Proud of the raft, painted entirely with cheap dollar store acrylic pens. Likely will be floating in the sump of my Necromunda games, or Billmakingstuff's Tapu
Looks like the Sony PR team has begun its consent manufacturing operation among the media in the past 24 hours. I wonder how many other gaming outlets and influencers this week will also happen to put up posts/articles/videos declaring that eliminating physical media from consoles is good, actually?
Saying we should all go back to physical media I think misses the point. I actually *like* buying games and movies digitally for a bunch of reasons. What we need is better consumer protections so the things we do buy digitally are actually owned and companies cant delete/revoke access!

The furthest point from the coast in the UK is 70 miles. The Majority of the country is riddled with streams and rivers. We're a wet island, even if a large island, still an island. We're Florida but all the houses are double skinned brick with heavily insulated roofs. AC is not the magic solution.
The UK is famously rainy, drizzly, foggy, damp. Extremely fucking damp, that is what UK weather is and always has been. The defining feature of UK weather: dampness. For millennia, the average temperature of this damp hellhole has been like, 15C. It's still damp as fuck, *even at 40C*
There are amazing artists who paint with their feet, with just their paintbrush held in their lips, there are folk with full body paralysis who paint with eye movement. You are born with the ability to create, so long as you have a way to communicate, you are an artist.
I will not accept an argument that art and creativity have been uniquely democratised in the last few years since the invention of genAI. What a disservice to human history. How little regard you must have for the billions of souls that struggled through unimaginable suffering to express themselves.
You could change it to "consumers" too, equally effective. You pesky walking wallets and your concerns about global shortages of computer parts and fresh water and IP protection and water table pollution and noise complaints! Just consume so line goes up!
every time you see a headline that begins with “we have to,” replace the “we” with “you” and you’ll immediately understand the purpose of the piece and the power dynamics at play
Pardon my french but my nutsack is aquatic right now, fuck you if you think theft machines matter more than the enviroment.

Especially things supposedly built by humanoids. You look at the little windows lit up and the clusters of greeble and know roughly how insignificant you are. Each of those windows is 15ft long and you know it, so you know that you could build a town on some of those armour plates.
There's like an art to greebling large objects. You gotta have both hyperdensely detail populated greeble. And then vast relatively flat areas. The greebles give scale and the flat areas bulks up the visual space easily and also contrasts with the greeble. This was known in 1977.
This is the money Marge. Reskeet for good fortune💰 Really channeling her this week for my gallery show 🙏
