Music, hills, trees and other green things, crafty stuff, photos, books, cats and dogs. Work in social care. Easily distracted.
Having one of those late nights when you become all maudling and the only solution is Michael Stipe and a bottle of Aussie Shiraz. Watching that Perfect Square show from '03 for the 9 millionth time.
Afternoon tunes. It's been a kind of fragmented /rushing about kind of Tuesday - with lulls.
There should be some kind of list that you can check when someone famous dies (with 👍or👎 against their name) before you post your own sadness. Twice in the last week I've misplaced my sorrow over wrong uns. Fortunately I know all about RL and I'm not sad at all. Might even have another cup of tea.
Welcome to Super Seabird Sunday where we ask you to share photos, videos & artwork of seabirds. Here is my contribution, thousands of Gannet’s off the Bass Rock. A remarkable sight. #SuperSeabirdSunday
Cemetery visit for what would have been my mother's 98th bd today. Always starts off somber but by the time my sister has given the stone a clean with her pre-dampened micro-cloth we lapse into irreverent humour. Anyway, my dad always said they'd picked a plot with a view ... & the clouds obliged.
Have slipped into a really bad habit of listening to political podcasts /shows in the morning and not my usual music and it's been really bad for my MH. Kicking against it this morning with some tunes

Fulmar chicks can now be left unattended as their parents are off foraging. The young chicks can look after themselves as they can spit an oily substance at potential predators. You can see this youngster preparing itself
A couple of favourites from my trip to the Isle of May during the week. The young Kittiwakes took up a lot of my time and the Guillemots made me laugh. #SuperSeabirdSunday

When you end up with more respect for the Kirk than you do the government.
Incredible statement from the Church in Wales on the ignominious Code of Practice: "The Church in Wales will not use equality law exemptions to exclude trans people from our worship, our sacraments, our pastoral care, or our common life." www.churchinwales.org.uk/en/news-and-...
I've left my back garden to go wild for longer than usual and it's now a ragwort jungle. I wasn't seeing many beasties on it for a bit and was going to chop it but in the last few days it's been attracting lots of bees, hoverflies, moths and butterflies so I've an excuse to wait a bit longer.
I'm always too late to see the puffins when I visit the Isle of May. As we landed @steelyseabirder.bsky.social greeted us off the boat, beaming & pointing to the swarms of thousands of puffins in the sky & said we were in for a treat. Indeed we were 😁
I'm on a train, heading east for my annual puffin pilgrimage - very excited!
Morning Puffins :)
