The people who think Israel framed Michael Jackson for pedophilia honestly are so fucking funny because damn, Mossad must’ve done the worst framing job possible if the FBI couldn’t find anything to use against him.
My father is dead and my mother has fucked off permanently to drink gin and dodge accountability with her MAGA second husband and I cannot listen to “Wait For It” without choking up
Also the idea of him as like, relentlessly sunny/cheery is really funny considering that It's Quiet Uptown exists
yeah this is just facts like, there are valid complaints to make about Hamilton and how it presents things, but “Lin-Manuel isn’t talented and these songs suck” is objectively false
Hamilton is good. Lin-Manuel Miranda is in fact extremely good at his job. Sorry, that's just how it is.

I recently saw a middle school teacher on social media talking about how she spent her summer curating a diverse library of YA novels for her students. The principal insisted she cull it to exclude “inappropriate material” til only five books remained, all of them written for 3rd/4th graders.

I’m like one of those “if you can’t pronounce it don’t eat it” people but for verbiage in job descriptions. If I can’t figure out the task you are describing with shit like “maximizing impactful communications across all teams” then you need to go back to the draft
Love how men struggle with they/them pronouns until they get a side chick and suddenly every camping weekend and night out hitting the bars is gender neutral as fuck
I find the absurdist fables of the Talmud so compelling and strangely comforting because its authors clearly understood that Torah must be resilient and supple enough to meet and inform even the most ludicrous realities, that the pickles and shenanigans of the future would defy our very senses
I love the Talmud
If you’re not Jewish and thinking to yourself “pssssh I know the difference between antisemitism and anti-Zionism” no you don’t. You absolutely do not. And your arrogance is part of the problem.
I want to encourage all to follow Samantha for this thread alone. A meaningful peace movement must be vigilant about the rhetoric being deployed amidst our ranks. Samantha provides valuable insight wrt to the tipping point between critique of Israel and antisemitism, which isn’t always obvious
@/snareheadsammy.bsky.social So the reason I have them muted by Zio/ZOG is it also includes other antisemitic slurs like Jew boy. Also, in conversations about Islamophobic GENTILES like JD Vance, they blame Jews
A is job hunting rn which means I really cannot justify spending $200 to register for the Portland half marathon that I’ve spent the last three months training for. We’re fine, but that money needs to be for groceries not a dang race. :’)

In my experience, “testimony is evidence” is one of the hardest concepts to get laypeople to understand. I see it all the time: “there’s no evidence, just someone’s words” yeah and if those words are under oath, that’s evidence, baby.
This restaurant in PDX was just named one of the best Mexican restaurants in the US and it’s 100% vegan, we love Mis Tacones

this is a really underrated factor in the Natalie Harp media explosion yes, Ossoff hit exactly the right target, but a big reason she was the right target is that everyone else around Trump finds her incredibly weird and offputting and is very excited to talk shit behind her back
Anyway it seems she has coworkers who are eager to anonymously share their stories with the press! So I imagine we'll be learning a lot more in the coming days

i think ideally we would teach religious studies broadly, but this is like christopher hitchens arguing for the iraq war separate and apart from the neocon rationale. what teaching the bible will look like is very different from whatever folks imagine in their idealized cases
Religious studies should be a requirement across basically every humanities and social science major imo. It is fundamental to understanding global politics, economies and basically all human media.

My husband turned to me tonight and said he’d never lay a hand on me because 1) such conduct makes him want to tear his own skin off and 2) because he knows that I could and would get him in a RNC and pull til he blacked out and shit his pants 💗 that’s my man
