It feels ridiculous to be told my entire life the importance of reducing my energy usage and switching to stuff like LED bulbs and then read reports of energy prices spiking in many US communities due to data centers.
Listening a man from a big AI company talking on a podcast about the importance of researching whether AI is conscious lest they end up mistreating them. & all I can think is: you know who else might have consciousness? HUMAN WORKERS. Generally big companies seem fine with mistreating them.

After this date the previous rates will be gradually restored over four dates from Sept to end of year.
