Funny how much can change in just one month? The Socdems have completely changed their tune on the Critical Infrastructure Bill and the damaging impact it will have on our climate. Here are some of them speaking out against this bill last month, before voting it through yesterday.
The Liffey is an icon of Dublin, but it’s also a dividing line. It divides the north from the south. There’s politicians in this election who want to further that division. But I don’t think that’s what we are about. When you’re on the Liffey you can see clearly that we are one city and one river.

Big claims, but a weak case presented by the airlines this week on the Dublin Airport passenger cap. EU legal opinion is that the passenger cap is likely lawful. The “Open Skies” argument is untested and unproven. What sounds convincing… isn’t holding up in court.

One week since @greenpartyie.bsky.social members joined the National March for Climate Action ✊ As #COP30 negotiations are deadlocked without agreement, we need to keep the pressure on to ensure the Irish Government, the EU and world leaders commit to and deliver real, fair climate action.
Tomorrow afternoon, as COP negotiations continue in Brazil, the Green Party will be one of over 60 groups and organisations coming together to march through the streets of Dublin calling for climate action, now! We hope to see you there!
The Irish fossil fuel industry welcoming a politician on board as their paid lobbyist. Until recently he was Fine Gael's spokesman on Climate Action. In many democracies this wouldn't even be legal, let alone acceptable.
