If it’s this easy for the donor/consultant class to get them to switch on an issue, they will do the same for immigration, healthcare, etc. Either these Dems have to lose, or we end up with a two party system of outright fascists and a bunch of Fettermans.
Hey, I notice you're trying to influence political candidates during an election. That's really inconvenient, politically speaking. Wouldn't it be better to wait until after the election, when the candidate has everything they need from you, and you have zero leverage?

A WHOLE LOT of trans people are citing to the last decade of UK politics as a reason they think anti-trans Dems winning is worse FOR THEM than anti-trans Repubs. And a whole lot of US liberals aren't engaging with that example at all while pontificating about why trans people are wrong and stupid.
