I finally tried out the @marimo.io marimo-pair skill to do some light data analysis and plotting in conversation with an LLM and it really worked. Tedious plotting layout and syntax fadeed into the background. I used OpenCode + GLM 5.2, @pola.rs and @matplotlib.org Would recommend. #EnergySky

🌊The GHRSST Colour Palette Task Team has reached a consensus recommendation at #GHRSST27: use #HomeyerRainbow from #cmweather for displaying #SST data. It provides a strong compromise between readability, colour-blind accessibility and smooth gradient rendering, available on @matplotlib.org. (1/2)

We have a pre-release we'd love y'all to test! Especially if you use non English scripts - a major part of this release is the overhaul of text and font processing to support modern font features, enabling full internationalization in all languages github.com/matplotlib/m...

@matplotlib.org is getting more and more interactivity! "plotjs" converts any existing matplotlib charts to an interactive, web-based version of them, with quite a lot of customization options. Try it out here: github.com/y-sunflower/... More examples: y-sunflower.github.io/plotjs/

I've started working on a minimalist PoC that converts @matplotlib.org plots into interactive graphics. There are a bazillion things to do before it's something robust and stable, but I'm confident it will go somewhere. Online demo: y-sunflower.github.io/plotjs/
Show us what you make!
"Hello #pydytuesday" I downloaded #Positron, followed the PydyTuesday tutorials (link below) and made my first ever graph in Python! As a longtime #RStats user, it was fun. I love that I'm good enough that I can understand the tutorials. Past me would be proud. (www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRfY...)

More fun digging around my @last.fm scrobbles using with @matplotlib.org I had no idea how much of a difference changing fonts and background color could make
I get a bit carried away with @matplotlib.org's hatching. But it's so helpful! The left plot you can pick any point in the middle and pretty quickly tell which 4 hatch marks are overlapping.
One of my favorite tasks: creating figures with @matplotlib.org and #geopandas This one for osf.io/preprints/os...
First experiment plotting my Last.fm scrobbles With 10 years worth of data, I'll be working on this for a while. Also first time working with @matplotlib.org stackplots, much finagling was involved
Doesn't have to be made in R 😅
