my sole consolation of withstanding gamer fuckboys is when they attempt to spin the block with ‘you’re the only one who cared about my hardware hacks’ well you can play thank u next on your 16-bit homebrew for me

for anyone else who has moved often in their life, have you noticed different people you attracted dating-wise? when i was in NYC it was bartenders and line cooks, in FL it was carpenters, here in CA it’s jiujitsu teachers

my incredibly stupid superpower is that whenever i eat out at a nice restaurant alone everyone assumes i am a food critic and therefore there’s always this quiet manic energy buzzing around me and they don’t charge me for my sparkling water

i’m in San Diego and idk how to articulate this but i feel like there is some shared vibe or cultural attitude below a certain latitude that i miss living in. the problem is the other side of that particular coin is like a general sense of being unhinged

i what lets me down the most is speaking of games/play outside of the ecology of experiences it is taking place in. i blame formalists (of course) but moreso industry that insists on games being a product

this wine bar is very black millennial aunty coded. someone is talking about being hired for a sleep study, the other griping about their husband wanting them to use more AI at home

✋🏻ppl already have the dirtbag left as a rallying call, co-opting woke into ‘dark woke’ is like killing woke and doing woke necromancy because bureaucrats only know how to extract. but ig since normies are radicalizing i’ll wait until they stop shooting people in the streets to call them cringe

Body shaming and ableism are not and will never be woke, and this is the problem with not understanding the difference between how Black folks talk to each other and how the right co-opted a term for their own purposes.

anyone seen games Black History month highlights of people outside of AAA? i haven’t and it’s like erasing the existence of experimental art and writing. new games journalism, not-games, black grassroots work. it seems like we’ve regressed culturally because movements aren’t properly attributed

anyone else still reeling from learning that your life wasn’t just ruined by angry losers on the internet but a literal conspiracy by the head of a sex trafficking and potential cult or is that just me

does anyone remember that blip in time where the chatbot game Boyfriend Maker was viral in games crit and it was eventually taken down from the app store because too many people were gooning to it and so it started to goon with unsuspecting children? yeah we were on that AI beat back in 2012/3
