it sounds hella cheesy/corny, but we really gotta focus hard on cultivating hope and resisting slipping into hopelessness... it's one of the most vital things we can be doing right now
i’m a big fan of holding space for multiple things to be true at the same time, highly recommend giving it a go
This one was quick and a bit loose but I think there's something there.

“The subject is interesting. The interviewer is credentialed. They agree with each other at length. Nothing is at stake. No one is surprised. You finish reading and feel vaguely full but can’t say what you ate….You know people are doing interviews to accumulate symbolic capital, not insight.” @om.co
How Not to Interview (Interesting People)
As a photographer who is primarily a writer, I like reading about photography so I can learn from those who create. I do that by reading photo magazines and listening to podcasts. One such magazine…

@justinmezzell.bsky.social you tried building a new Digg without the compelling differentiator of being an open social app. Now try building on the AT network! You have to give up control over users' identity+data but you can build a great app and make money at scale: bsky.app/profile/jaco... GL!
People can change their opinions, given new information and some time. Doesn't require any kind of generosity either, just a self-interest in making the new Digg actually compelling.
Someone should be trying to convince Kevin Rose and the people building the new version of Digg to build on AT protocol. Reddit needs to be replaced and nothing would improve the new Digg’s chances like being an open alternative. They’ll have serious funding so will have the best shot by default.

@toni.bsky.team @jay.bsky.team @ma.tt @pfrazee.com I’d love to hear if you envision some sort of Wordpress integration. I dream of a world where we have an easy way to publish and manage our own content; sovereignly! Wowza, I feel like a Wordpress PDS or an atproto CMS is where things get bonkers!
WE FOUND IT! We trekked day and night through tiger-patrolled Sumatran rainforests accessible only under permit for this: Rafflesia hasseltii. Few people have ever seen this flower, and we watched it open by night. Magic.

if you can't embrace the fact that you suck at a thing and keep being bad at it until you get good enough that you stop being bad at it, you'll never get good at anything
Anemonoides blanda, the Balkan anemone, Grecian windflower, or winter windflower, is a species of flowering plant in the family Ranunculaceae. The species is native to southeast Europe and the Middle East.
