Thanks, @gregsargent.bsky.social. I agree that post-liberalism's critics do not get the same level of attention, even among outlets you'd think ought to be highly sympathetic (e.g. @newstatesman1913.bsky.social, @lrb.co.uk). So thanks for drawing attention to our books.

Matthew Sleat's "Post-Liberalism" is also really good. It goes deep into the extremely shaky foundations of post-liberal thought and highlights aspects of the liberal tradition that the post-liberals (deliberately?) ignore: www.politybooks.com/bookdetail?b...

I can’t remember where I’d written this (probably my book Liberal Realism) but someone kindly shared this passage 10 years ago today. And it’s interesting to look back on it and reflect how I’m now working on whether liberalism has a realistic yet more positive story it can tell.
