What bugs me about Dodger Discourse is that it shifts the focus off of genuine malfeasance by other teams. The Tigers just quasi-quit on a playoff race that they're very much still in! Who did that to their fans? It wasn't Boras, Manfred, or the LAD

I am begging you not to believe gazillionaire baseball owners when they tell you Skubal going to the Dodgers means we need a salary cap. Competitive balance is not the reason they want a salary cap. They just want to spend less, and with more predictability, on total payroll. That is all.
It's pretty wild that certain attorneys get to travel a journey from "my life is constantly ruled by unreasonable demands and deadlines" to, if they are privileged enough to become a judge, getting to do almost everything on whatever timeline they choose, without any requirements or consequences.
This “streaming baseball games but it’s musical chairs” thing we’re doing this season is going to turn me into the joker. The Yankees are hurting me enough on their own, you don’t need to make me go hunting for them on peacock on top of that.
Is there any more meaningful moment in sports history than the Knicks being down 76-49 at halftime, wu tang comes out to perform, and then method man goes “Knicks in 5, what y’all talkin about?” Never doubt method man.
I have been going to MSG since I was a little kid in the early 90s. My heart was broken so many times. So many great Knicks teams didn’t make it. This is magic. This is mystery and chance and faith and the divine.
Everyone be really cool. If anyone is not cool I’m gonna be really mad. I have been waiting for this my entire life.
The Golden Knights game opening bullshit feels like the evil opposing team in every Disney sports movie but it’s real life and they’re grown ups and they could have chosen literally any other vibe if they wanted to
You can beat the Knicks, but you can't knock them out. They eat your hardest punch and don't go away.
Some pretty wild professional news. If you had told me when I was getting ready to launch this practice a little less than 3 years ago that Chambers would be listing me as a leading lawyer for whistleblowers in the United States, I would not have believed you. (con'd)
We are honored to share that Max Rodriguez was one of 35 lawyers ranked in Chambers & Partners' 2026 Nationwide USA Guide for Whistleblower Representation. Since 1990, Chambers has identified & ranked the best law firms and lawyers globally across over 40 practice areas. chambers.com/legal-rankin...
Me, a second ago: the Yankees were overdue for a ghastly performance getting owned by a pitcher. Aaron Judge, a second later:

This case was idiotic from the start. However I must ask...what coffee is Judge Daniels giving his clerks that they can write a full MTD decision less than 2 months after the motion was fully briefed, and how can I make sure other judges' chambers are stocked with that same coffee?

To the woman in sweats in the delta lounge in Minneapolis drinking whiskey neat while petting her puppy: you are my hero. Go off, queen. Travel right.
I really need (either licensed and legit or fan created) some Ben Arroz merch to become available for purchase so I can wear it when I start getting time to go to Yankees games.
Cases take so long that reading your old briefs before a hearing is like another lawyer wrote them. He and his team did a good job though!
It’s tiring but also deeply entertaining to take @osayko.bsky.social to a new doctor bc their reaction to her medical history, allergies, and medications is always basically this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnun...

It is so exhausting having to see stuff like this. Open contempt for visible Jewishness.
Ever single gentile needs to read each and every one of these. A Jewish woman on Instagram made a post about how matzo is made and why we eat it on Passover. Every reply was violent, vile, and hateful. I need you to understand how even the most innocuous part of Jewish existence is reviled.
I hereby declare myself too old for west coast Yankees games that start at 9pm. Go yanks, beat the mariners, I’ll be in bed.
This is the story of being a lawyer in your 40s.
I accidentally became important at work and it’s ruining my life

Thinking of some of my opposing counsel most likely to use genAI to make up bullshit…no thanks, I’ve suffered enough I’d prefer not to have to eat them too.
Disbarment isn't enough, if a lawyer is found to have used genAI to make up bullshit the opposing counsel should be allowed to legally eat them
You know you are in need of a vacation when you are unloading the dishwasher and start trying to load the clean dishes into the fridge. (I am going on vacation this week so…good timing! 🫠)
My largest need for a budget to get my car detailed is “my dog licks all the surfaces constantly.”
Going to synagogue is an active choice but for me there is also no choice at all. What do I mean by that? Yesterday’s news is just the latest example of someone aspiring to murder Jews in a sacred community space. One that usually includes worship, mutual aid, activities, and child care. 🧵
While we’re at it, my inside baseball long-held no-one-in-politics-cares belief is that both the US Marshals and the Bureau of Prisons should be reorganized as agencies subordinate to the US Courts, not DOJ.
The US federal judiciary on February 24 asked Congress to give it power to manage its own courthouses and shift authority away from the executive branch, saying decades of inadequate oversight exacerbated by recent actions by the Trump administration had left them in crisis reut.rs/4qSsP0I
The silence from the "Twitter files" pearl clutchers on this abuse of power shows, once again, that they never cared about free speech, but rather controlling the narrative and suppressing dissent. Thanks to @masnick.com for this important piece. www.techdirt.com/2026/02/18/t...
The ‘Most Massive Attack On Free Speech’ Is Happening Right Now, And The Twitter Files Crew Is Mighty Quiet
For the last five years, we had to endure an endless, breathless parade of hyperbole regarding the so-called “censorship industrial complex.” We were told, repeatedly and at high volume…

My ashkenazi ancestors really did me a solid with the Yiddish phrase “Ich darf es vi a loch in kop” (I need this like I need a hole in the head).
The fact that my classmates from law school are now professors at my law school is such a wild trip.
