SARS-CoV-2 did not come from a lab. There is no evidence pointing to laboratory origins. There’s been a massive disinformation campaign to convince the public otherwise. It’s scary how effective that campaign has been.

Saw a post saying "I don't want NSFW accounts to talk about voting, just let me jack off" Buddy, NSFW artists and sex workers are being constantly attacked by a government of nonces trying to distract from their own crimes by pinning the blame on porn. They have the right to speak up about this.

You've statistically seen it by now, but SPIDER MAN: BRAND NEW DAY is fantastic. I'm glad we're at the point where you can just tell a cool Spidey story without any gimmicks. Honestly, my least favorite parts were those which served only to remind the audience of the larger MCU.

Bluesky is a "liberal bubble" because fascist chuds can't get traction without algorithmic assistance and because people here trained themselves to block "debate me" trybois the instant they roll up

Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."

There's an entire arms race for these sorts of models right now. The more "dangerous" they are, the more companies will pay for access to them. Meanwhile the actual danger is the guy with consumer-grade Claude and Gemini feeding outputs back and forth between them to find vulnerabilities.

“Us too, but we didn’t notice” is an interesting choice of attention seeker after being left out of one news cycle

When 2020 was called for Biden, I was en route to a BLM protest march where I was on copwatch. The meeting point was Columbus Circle. Results were called as I pulled up to the station. The entire city poured into the streets right outside of Trump Tower.

After the 2020 election was called for Biden, I went down to Boston (I was living in coastal New Hampshire) and snapped this picture. I was in DC when Obama won the first time and I remember thinking that the feeling in Boston on this day was even more euphoric.

A woman driving a car out of the sunroof is a cardboard trump cutout. She's holding a sign saying "Ding Dong the wicked witch is dead" and there's a sign on her windshield saying Dindong the witch is dead. There are tons of people out celebrating Trump's loss.

Let me tell you, having chronicled Pentagon-style war game on attacking Iran nearly 25 yr ago, every single "surprise," "darkening turn," "narrowing option," spreading warfare," "rising casualties," "no easy exit," etc that comes drip-by-drip is EXACTLY why GHWB WJC GWB OBAMA BiDEN did NOT do this

From page full of headlines about things going to hell in Iran.

there's plenty of restaurants in this town, but the owner of the sandwich shop downtown hates me, says he's gonna kill me, and has a sign up on the wall saying that 5 cents out of every sandwich order will go towards buying bullets to shoot me with.

The funniest thing is when I say something pro-porn or SW and SWERFs go, "Oh of course the gross man is defending porn because he gets off to it." Like yeah dude you should try it sometime. I am FAR more ashamed of shopping on Amazon than you could ever hope to make me of watching porn.

I swear, anti-porn guys give off the sweatiest, most deranged, harmful pervert vibes of anyone online Earnest, praiseworthy perverts who embrace their niche porn interests continue to be far more wholesome than creeps who want to ban it.

For a brief moment at the start of COVID, we saw the government work effectively. We saw UBI, better worker protections, and so on. Then we saw the regressive forces in society, from cops to the corporations they work for, close ranks and put us back into the meat grinder.

People baffled by why people have remained pessimistic regardless of what the economic data shows never seem to consider that we watched the government flex its muscle to address a crisis and then watched that response crumble in the face of capitalist rapaciousness.

It’s a genuine problem that men came out of the Bernie movement having learned absolutely nothing, but firmly attached to the paranoid and self-serving delusion that any and all concerns about sexism are a malign conspiracy.
