I hate that this kind of ankle-biting is necessary, but it would go a long way for even a single Democrat who was instrumental in letting them off the hook five years ago (Biden? Harris? Garland? Coons? Pelosi?) to admit that they fucked up, their critics were correct, it can’t happen again.

The solution is consequences, by the way. And that doesn’t mean “losing elections” or “public ridicule.” Consequences that are real, that wrongdoers and liars know could happen to them, that bad men genuinely fear facing
