@ilhanmn.bsky.social: Trump's gutting of Medicaid will strip coverage from millions of people, push hospitals into closure, and make an already broken health care system even worse. Only Medicare for All would ensure that people can get the care they need.

Ilhan Omar: Our Health Care System Is Broken Beyond Repair. We Need Medicare for All.

Repealing Medicare cuts and restoring ACA subsidies are the first step. But ultimately, we need universal health care.

Why are some of you consistently telling people who live in NY that their candidates can't win in Iowa? LOL. The candidates are FROM NY and running in NY. Take up your criticisms with the media not New Yorkers.

2028 is going to be a fucking extinction-level electoral event for so many of these incumbent Dems who have coasted for years without any serious challenges. This cycle is the clarion call for ten times as many primary challengers to take on suddenly-very-beatable-looking incumbents.

Grace Meng has been in Congress since 2013 and didn’t even have a primary challenger in 2024. She’s at just 57% against a progressive who had virtually zero support or resources.

"Whether Facebook and Google are capitulating to Trump due to fear of economic retribution, shared politics, or a desire to increase their stock prices or keep up with technology, the impact is devastating for journalism and democracy."

Illinois’ law protects abortion. She says she still couldn’t get treatment for her ectopic pregnancy.

A lawsuit filed in Illinois raises questions about who can get life-saving reproductive health care, even in states with legal protections.

The worst people in the world are coming together to determine how we access journalism. Nobody wants this. Research shows people don't want to get news from chatbots and that they can fuel misinformation. @ziggywest.bsky.social @mayaschenwar.bsky.social and I wrote about the need to fight back.

Mamdani being a huge coward when it comes to trans youth is genuinely enraging. They will tell us with a straight face how hard it is. Do you know how hard it is for a trans youth who has had to move states and had 3 providers drop them and now has no options? Try that.

Erin Reed@erininthemorning.com · 2mo ago

1. In a move that is likely to be seen as capitulation to Trump, EITM can confirm that Mamdani's first ever trans direct care clinic will deny care to those under 19 years of age, the age from Trump's anti-trans EOs. It is a far cry from his pledge to "use every tool" to fight capitulation.

AI poses a dire threat to journalism organizations' ability to share actual facts with broad audiences, as @neginowl.bsky.social & @ziggywest.bsky.social & I write. This is just one example of why we CANNOT acquiesce to an "it's inevitable" mindset when it comes to AI. truthout.org/articles/goo...

BREAKING: A federal judge in California has, as a very interim step, blocked Stanford children's hospital (LPCH) from turning over patient records responsive to the N.D. Texas trans care grand jury subpoena and barred DOJ from taking any action to enforce it while he considers a new TRO request.

Docket Text
TEXT-ONLY ORDER.
The parties are ordered to appear for a remote status conference at 10:00am on June 9, 2026 using the Zoom link on the Court's public website.
Absent a further order from this Court, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital (LPCH) shall not produce additional records to the government in response to specifications 12 to 14 of the May 6, 2026 grand jury subpoena issued to LPCH under the seal of the Northern District of Texas. See FTC v. Dean Foods Co.,
384 U.S. 597, 608 (1966) (holding that a court has "express authority under the All Writs Act to issue such temporary injunctions as may be necessary to protect its own jurisdiction"); Protectmarriage.com-Yes on 8 v. Bowen, 752 F.3d 827, 834 (9th Cir. 2014) (explaining that disclosure of information moots an action that seeks to prevent such disclosure).
For the same reasons, absent a further order from this Court, the government shall not take further action to enforce any grand jury subpoena seeking the private health information or patient records of any member of the putative class or subclass.
