"can you currently (ie: today) use bluesky on 100% third party infrastructure?" it's a very simple yes/no question ---- if the answer is yes: prove it if the answer is not yet: how long? days? months? years? debates? if the answer is no: I am not interested in building community here

What's the general opinion on selfhosting a PDS atm? I want to try bsky next to mastodon, and would prefer owning my data from the start. I have a k8s cluster at home running on arm nodes. Will my server be bombarded, or is a PDS selfhostable at home?
To be clear, we do have plans for scaling, we just kinda expected more than a couple days notice before getting blasted with a million new users a day. The team is rapidly deploying fixes and new software to adapt. More servers in the mail.
