there’s nothing like watching primary election results come in. it’s a bunch of the dumbest people you don’t want to know making assumptions about people they’ve never met in places they’ve never set foot in. it’s a real who’s who of people who say “synergy” at the office and mean it.
hey why does the hlinka gretzky tournament exist? i have watched about a period of this and have almost no interest in watching this ever again. the building is practically empty. the hockey sucks. what is this tournament? who is this for?
every time @cheekface.bsky.social releases an album, i get two of these postcards and i refuse to believe it’s a clerical error. it’s just really important to them that i listen to their new album. you should too, it’s great.
i am the most recreational golfer of all time (i mostly use the driving range as an excuse to get outside and do something active). i usually play by myself because golf culture suuuuuuucks. but today i had my first par and it was nearly a birdie. the first putt lipped out.

i know i am very late on ken dryden the author, but i started reading The Game last night and my god this guy was an unbelievable writer. the only thing dryden was bad at was running the leafs and i think that’s actually fine.

on today’s mailbag episode, a listener asked what we are doing with our free time now that we’re only doing three shows a week and i would like to add an amendment: after recording, i beat zelda: the minish cap for the game boy advance.
been thinking about the "habs don't have a player with a cap hit of $10m or more next season thing" and wanted to see how rare that was... it's not really that surprising on its face. next year, 28 players will carry a cap hit of at least $10m.
one of my favorite things habs fans do is defend arber by saying “matheson makes mistakes! why isn’t he sitting?!?” there’s no arguing with these kinds of people because they think matheson and xhekaj are the same caliber of player and the only difference between them is how the coach sees them.

pivotal moment in dach’s career. this takes him right to ufa. if he comes to camp ready to go and can somehow find some health, maybe he stays. maybe he does all those things and still wants to move on. maybe none of that happens and he heads to ufa in the same place he found himself this year.

i have been saying for a long time that you cannot hire your franchise legends to be head coach or gm. people are hired to be fired in those roles. and when you suck at it like yzerman did, you either get fired or “advisor’d”.
