Two things are true at the same time: ST has made immense improvement on service disruptions. And demand to use the system is so high that the current lack of redundancy is going to continue to cause problems.

Any system has disruptions, yes, but (a) the frequency of disruptions for such a new system isn’t normal, (b) other cities didn’t abolish redundant bus routes, and (c) other systems do a much better job communicating with passengers. People rely on ST like they rely on I-5. They need to do better.

Ouch! Retired transit service planner Jack Whisner accuses the @sound-transit.bsky.social board of taking a "ridership minimization vote" last month, by planning for years of a West Seattle-Sodo standalone rail spur less convenient than the WS bus services (until/unless Ballard/Sodo is built).
