i think, now, more than ever its really important to interact with people who like your art and vice versa, and cultivate more community and trust among artists and commissioners and followers in general. its not a perfect system by any means but i think building trust between everyone will help

Someone I know later found out an artist (16k followers) they got a commision from uses AI and now they don't have funds to commish me or another artist they like. Not only does the slop machine steal art, these scammers directly steal work from real artists
Seeing peoples cool lineart and you find out that those “happy accidents” or quick movements were slow and deliberate adjustments feels like when you find out santa isnt real in your 20’s. Like you kinda knew and now you’re wondering why you kept that belief up at all.
