That being said, Beauchamp is right that 'settler violence' is one of the rare things which even the most pro Israel stalwart "liberals" cannot defend. The fact that Israel is now so thoroughly supportive of it, does not prosecute it ever, and actively shields them, has accelerated public opinion.

In an email statement to The Dartmouth on Sept. 18, Schnell wrote that he uses artificial intelligence for "language refinement, copyediting, improving clarity and organization and making writing processes more efficient," but "review[s] the final text and takes! responsibility for its content." "I develop ideas and arguments, conduct the research, evaluate the evidence and sources, determine the structure, prepare drafts and decide what appears in the final text," Schnell wrote. "I regard these technologies as assistive tools. They do not identify the problem, design the research project, guarantee the validity of research results, interpretations, citations, conclusions or substitute for my research, intellectual judgment or authorship." He got pressure from the whole CA Democratic political establishment (Newsom, Becerra, Bass). And ultimately he's a product of the machine too, appointed by Newsom. The CA machine is among the worst in the country precisely because its decision-making is so critical to the country.

Don't forget, Bonta most likely got pressure from Newsom who bragged last week he gave tax breaks to that industry. Connect the dots. Gavin is against taxing the rich, but has no problem leveling heavy taxes on average Californians in 2027. And don't forget, he signed a 'gas spike' law which sits.

The worst part of Bonta caving on the Paramount merger is that it's a big flashing signal to every other company that there is no antitrust enforcement in America and you can bully your way into getting whatever you want. It's a monumentally bad decision.

one common thread (among the horrifying many) between the numerous ICE shootings/murders is that no first aid was administered to the victim. armed combatants of the government shot to kill, and if they didn’t kill right away, they gave time for it to happen anyway. it is absolutely grotesque.
