I almost forgot after a long ass travel day sat, but I tuned into the first SF Firebelles game at the top of the 3rd. I'm so pumped for this new team. I hope the WPBL get some serious love and support as they ramp up. Also Maybelle is a legend. Icon.

Both of these are companies choosing to do crimes to generate hype (AI becomes skynet is part of the hype). But it’s genuinely funny anthropic saw openai do it and get away with it and wanted to do it but bigger. Oh openai did 1 crime? Well we did 3 😤

BREAKING: Anthropic announced that its artificial intelligence models had breached three different organizations during cybersecurity tests that went awry, a little more than a week after its chief rival, OpenAI, disclosed a similar incident.

These incidents + what I saw shared from a local vendor at the pride celebration paints a picture that SF chose to step up policing of trans/queer people in dangerous ways on pride weekend. The vibes are not great. www.instagram.com/p/DaOJEnFD78r

This morning, @evanurquhart.bsky.social returns to the subject of SF Trans March. The march went viral after a politician was forced to leave, but families with trans children fleeing police officers charging them with weapons drawn never reached a wide audience. assignedmedia.org/breaking-new...

NEW from me: while local and national media focused on Scott Wiener getting kicked out of Dolores Park, they were silent about state forces committing violence against queer and trans people during Pride weekend in San Francisco. 15 people spoke with me about it for this piece.

LEFT COAST RIGHT WATCH@lcrw.news · last mo.

NEW from LCRW: Last weekend, SFPD brutalized trans-focused Pride events in San Francisco. @misoshnik.bsky.social talked to over a dozen people who saw what went down from a car attack to riot lines and assaults on bystanders.

We just need to spend a trillion dollars, burn a few years of the world's oil, demolish a few thousand houses and break the water tables for a few states to get a billion more goats and feed them all the reddit comments they can eat.

The researcher's point is that it’s possible to build a neural network in Age of Empires II that works the same as the ones underlying Claude, ChatGPT, CoPilot, and all the rest. @evystadium.bsky.social has more. @mjgault.bsky.social story: www.404media.co/if-ai-is-sen...

At least 3 gay bars in the historic LGBTQ+ district in San Francisco are using face scan tech, often without patrons knowing. This data collection, especially as Trump admin are pushing to generate ‘lists’ of trans people, is highly dangerous. gomag.com/article/san-...

Silicon Valley’s growth over recent decades has made California rich — and one of the most unequal places in America.

In a country that is essentially warcrime georg right now it’s hard to continue to remember every horror. I remember the cavalier way I heard republicans talk about these deaths. I’m glad there is still some accounting. I wish justice for these families who have lost and the communities that suffer

Pleased to speak with @theguardian.com about the US boat strikes and this important investigation into the identities of the victims. “I think this was in part a military spectacle to give the illusion of the administration doing something ‘macho’ about drugs.” www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
